I don't have a lathe and don't feel right buying wheels. This is not the first time I have read someone mention derby worx tools as bad..What will the pro hub shaver actually do to the wheels?

is it better to remove the step on the outer hub with a tool like the pro hub tool or to leave the step and sand it smooth? It seems to me that having the step would reduce wobble on a wheel. Love to hear some professional thoughts on this
