Is it better to preregister or register when we arrive?

I tried to search this and was not able to get my answer. Which is generally faster, freedom track or besttrack? I do know there is no way to be exact, but in general. Reason for asking is that I am trying to compare general times, and dont want a huge disappointment.

I use and really like the Tamiya swabs for clean up, what do you use to apply wax?

Track available?

Ran race on a 35' bestrack. Turned in some good times, actually set track record, 2.4890. Steer was 2"over 3 feet on test board. Next race is a 42' bestrack. Should I up the steer? No wiggles on the 35'

I seen an add somewhere for a wheel balancer. Made me start thinking. Its a detail that most may overlook, but seems to have some logic behind it. Do you guys balance? How do you go about doing it? What is the potential gains? Should I spend more time trying to perfect other issues?
