+1 on the NPWDRL and BASX. My experience is similar, getting ready now for my second race. BASX allows for using pro axles and wheels but without some of the other speed variables such as fenders or bearings. In short, it is a great place to hone your fundamentals.

I'd be interested. And, if you can get custom sheets, some at 1/8 and 1/16 inches thick too!
