    3D printed car

Very cool stuff! Remember in that last body design you will need to get about 2 rows of 6 cubes in front of your back axle- looks like it will not be possible with the current design. I like the second body but can definitely get it down in weight- does the body design already make a 1/16" (or...

Another Thanks, and the story of our journey

Very nice looking fleet of cars! Love all the fenders - I think we can all appreciate how much work goes into making them. Very impressive race history and especially without a track! Great job to you guys in your district finishes and MA finishes! I don't know about you but I'm a little...

    Another Thanks to John!

Haha nice! I was wondering who he was referring to. I do seem to recall a photo of some wheels he helped with and was finding my wheels to be very lack luster compared to the blinding shine I saw on his. Thats a great story - glad you found what was wrong with it. Never seen a wheel swell up...

    Another Thanks to John!

Thanks B! It was only the second full fender car we have made and I thought the tall fenders would cut tons of time off the build but nope - I was wrong - just as difficult haha. I would love to go to a pro race live one of these times - I hear you learn as much from going to just one live pro...

    Another Thanks to John!

My son and I were super excited to watch the National races and the MA scout races this last weekend. Maybe one year we can come live as it sounds like a lot of fun. I didn't do so hot in the pro races but my son was able to get 2nd place in his age group and 2nd place overall in the scout oil...

The "EVIL ONE" at it again

Unless you are racing against one of the best racers in pinewood derby history like my brother was in this race because the top car was purchased from him haha! This rule set is pretty good I think. I think the 1.175 min diameter is pretty reasonable - gives enough room to make the wheel true...

The "EVIL ONE" at it again

Haha so I think that was my brother and his kid that you commented on his wheels being nicely done- he told me after the race Bob made it a point to say how he liked that the wheels weren't so small in diameter

    Building back up car

I do it all the time which is probably why I noticed it haha! I find myself flipping the car over and saying to myself - okay so this is the right side of the car when turned upside down...

    Building back up car

looking good! Just curious - it looks like your dom front wheel is on the right side of the car, cuz that is where its narrowed, but your weight pocket is cut out to have the weight shifted towards the left side of the car? I usually have to shift my weight more towards my dominant side

New Great Lakes Field Service Council rules for 2019

Hey Mojo - I have never gotten much into comparing wheel molds much yet but I made note of your recommendations and just was helping my bro - in law with his twins cars and each kit had a #15 wheel so I thought great - I will used those on the two rears for one of the cars and try to match some...

Tips for using your drill jigs!

thanks guys! Jimmy I was jealous of all your fenders - they look great - gonna try and put some on our next car. John and/or TRE do you recommend using the HSS bits in a hand drill with the silver bullet pro as well. Ive also just been using the pin vise with the HSS bit for fear of affecting...

Tips for using your drill jigs!

Okay here goes thanks Bob! I swear I've tried that before. This is my sons scout car this year! Took home district Gold and Blue but strangely enough we haven't had our pack race yet - hoping that will go just as good.
