Used Items ESS Solenoid Start Gate For Sale

I'm asking $100 plus shipping. Retails for $200. Works perfectly. Comes with 6 ft corded push button and power supply. You can trigger it from the corded button or the button on the solenoid unit. Since I built a gravity gate with integrated electromagnet release, I no longer need this unit.

Why some Districts won't allow Krytox

Not so sure that any old lube should be allowed, at least not to be applied at the race. We had one dad bring his can of WD-40 and lubed his kid's car at the race. A cloud of that stuff was in the air and settling on everything around him. Maybe disallow use of lubes in pressurized containers...

Grand Prix Race Manager V18 advice

I'm glad that the videos have been helpful. It is a lot of work to put them together. I will be updating several of them here soon, as some things have changed a bit over the last couple of versions. I'll try to keep in mind keeping them short. Though, I do want to go over different options...

2016 Pinewood Derby World Championship in Time Square

I do know that they were using GPRM at this race. So, if there was an issue with how they setup the scoring in the software, they could have easily changed it at any point. I was invited to come to this race by one of the organizers to help out with the running of the software. However, my...

New Items GrandPrix Race Manager V16 Sneak Peek

Unfortunately, no. Though, I may create a small app to convert a MDB file into a Sqlite file. However, it would only work on Windows.

New Items GrandPrix Race Manager V16 Sneak Peek

That is correct. So, since I have to convert GPRM from one language to another (and one GUI toolkit to another), I decided to give the user interface a major face lift. I love the new look and hopefully others will as well. Correct also. Data files will be Sqlite. V15 started using them...

New Items GrandPrix Race Manager V16 Sneak Peek

I will also add that with Perfect-N Type and Lane Rotation schedulers, you can click on the Advanced button in the generator screen. Then check the randomize option. This will randomly remap the car numbers to new numbers. It doesn't affect how the schedulers work, but it will make the...

New Items GrandPrix Race Manager V16 Sneak Peek

That is really a function of the scheduling method that you choose. None will schedule cars at purely at random. There is always some underlying number logic that dictates when a car races and in what lane. The Perfect-N Type schedules, which I assume that you are using, were created by Stan...

New Items GrandPrix Race Manager V16 Sneak Peek

Technically, it should. However, we will not be marketing it as such. Providing support for Windows and Mac OS's is enough of a challenge.

New Items GrandPrix Race Manager V16 Sneak Peek

If you are coming to the Mid America race this year, you can get a sneak peek at the upcoming GPRM Version 16. It is a major redesign. You will find it more intuitive, user friendly and sleeker. It will also have support for Macs. It is also not too late to provide feedback on improvements...

    Mid America Update

Shawn, I'm looking forward to your after party. I missed it last year, but made sure to book a later flight so I can be there. It should be another great race. Randy

2016 Pinewood Derby World Championship in Time Square

I got an email from Mat Goar, one of the leaders organizing this year's PWD World Championship Race in NY Times Square. He's looking for some local GPRM gurus that can help run the software for the race. Please see the email below. I'd love to go and help out, but don't think that it will work...

Oh, I didn't mean to make it freely available. LOL

    Nationals/MA After Party

I'm amazed at all of the tools brought to MA by some of the racers. Hauling belt/spindle sanders, drill presses, compressors, and such to MAs. Maybe someone should just load up an enclosed trailer with a bunch of power tools and park it next to the Claas building. The other hotel guests and...
