it doesnt take less. If you need 4 ozs you need 4 ozs. Tungesten is 1.6 time denser then lead. as mentioned above, allows for easier placement. It is still possible to get 2 oz lead behind the rear axel, but yould have a thicker car. IE, <.30 inch with tungesten and somewhere around .5 inch...

Im with Chief! Glad things went well for you despite the aversion. Not sure how many years you have left, but try to become active in your pack, get on the derby committee, and correct what youre able to.

I used to love the rule discussions. looks like both obvious sides have been discussed. I read it as dont bevel the tread of the wheel. Hopefully you can contact someone, then hopefully that person has a clue. Good luck

I had the opportunity to help a few scouts this year. The blocks were record bad. In three kits, I did not find one nail that was straight. Did our pack get bad crap or did others see this also?

I was talking to our local cubmaster yesterday when I ran their race for them, He suggested that there was a "new set" of "national" rules. He did not implement any changes from when my kids raced. Is there any validity to this? Personally I don't foresee this working, nor if there were such...
