    Pinewood Racing Retirement Sale

I put a price on everything of $450 or $420 minus the square, vise, and caliper. If you want to make an offer excluding any items feel free to PM me. I still prefer to sell whole or close to the whole set. So if you do not want the silver bullet, goat boy tool, misc tools, or maybe some other...

    Pinewood Racing Retirement Sale

SOLD!!!!!!!!! My son is out of Cub scouts now and the kids in general have lost interest. I just don't have the time and we are moving towards more outdoor activities so I am selling everything. Prefer a new racer who needs a lot of things to buy a considerable chunk of this but I will...

New Items THE FASTEST WHEELS AVAILABLE!!!!!

The Predator 2.4 say in the description they are 7.5mm which could be a typo but if true would not meet the BASX 8mm width requirement. My opinion though is the BASX low cost entry class should not use these if the intent is to have an entry level class with lower cost. Otherwise it is just...

    ICE SERIES RACE #3 INFO!!!

While I would like the advantage of running my street pro, Yellow Submarine, in the SS AM class I suspect if it does well and passes any wheel inspection there may be some grumbling. I trust once things are sorted out it in the morning it will be obvious where it needs to go.

    BASX Car for this weekend

Other than my first build I think there has always been an oh crap moment. Probably was on my first one also, I just did not know enough to realize it. The important thing is to just get in there and race. I am just recycling old parts and messing around now. One car this month is Frankencar ...

Feedback Needed for Yellow Snow Wiggle

So we just got Yellow Snow back, it was not actual yellow snow but our BASX car rom the Feb Race. I am wondering if the setup was just not right for the type of car. It had a lot of rear end wiggle. It is my wife's car but I don't think that was the cause of the shake. Her rear end movement is...

    Great weekend!

Great job on both accomplishments! I will guess that the Pinewood Derby time budget may take a hit for a while.

    rail riding without camber

Those rules are not as bad as I expected. The wheels just need to be flat it does not say axles must be parallel. You can drill holes with inspection holes so you are covered there and do not have to use slots. Replacement wheels and axles must be from a BSA kit so you could get a set of Revel...

When I shipped it changed the address to 2262 S. Colt Drive on the USPS site. I shipped priority mail on Saturday and they were delivered today. Left on the porch, hopefully at John's house.

    rail riding without camber

If you hammer the nails in the slots you will have cars with bent axles, canted axles, running on 2 wheels, 3 wheels, 4 wheels, stopping on track, etc. If you drill your holes and the drill table is not perfectly square they are not going to be the perfectly level axles the rules make it seem...

    Where are you??!!!

I ended up way over budget on time for the scout racing this year. We were very successful but needed a break. Since then my mother-in-law passed away and that took up a lot of energy. On top of that work is crazy. A lot of projects and drama that will last for at least another 18 months. I am...

    Gizmodo Takes on Pinewood Racing

My guess/answer would be a 3 wheeled car with all the weight up front is not going to ride on the correct 3 wheels. It would be all screwed up if built as a standard 3 wheel design.
