Hey, I just have a quick question. Does anybody have any way to contact the officials at the race? On one of our heats our scout car was replaced with another car that ran a tenth of a second slower (3.05 vs 2.95). I'm freaking out! Thanks!

Any tips/techniques/tuning on how to set up a car for use on a track without a center rail? I'm kind of lost on where to start. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up! I printed it with 1mm gaps front and back, but then I realized I could push the fender against the back wheel since it's dead. Now I have a 2mm gap. What is a good gap and how do you plan on a gap for the front wheel if you haven't tuned it yet?

I put some dummy axles in the axle slots before I sprayed it. I just stuck some junk wheels on those axles to get the full effect of how the fender fits. I'm not using those wheels or axles on the final car. In fact, you can see some super glue strings on the front wheel.

This is the first finished car with the printed fender. The single fenders are Gee fenders from John, but the middle fender is printed.

After a few days of trying to make some fenders out of wood, I realized fenders would be 10x easier if they were 3D printed. Therefore after a ten minute mock up and a quick low-res print job, I made this: I printed this really thick and with 10% infill, so I don't even have a good estimate...

Do you guys have any tips for installing the windows? I haven't completed a model since middle school, but I remember my windows always looked like crap. Glue, paint, knife marks. I could never keep them nice.

No cars for me either. I've got a big test at school coming up and unfortunately PWD time had to be sacrificed. I just got my new body for a street rod though so hopefully I'll have it ready for the next race.

Random question for John: Do you prefer PayPal or credit card? I know PayPal has pretty steep fees, but depending on your credit card processor their fees can be quite high as well.
