What procedure would you use for reusing wheels and axles that have been setting for a couple years.

How much steer do you have?

Get a sharpie. 3 kids I helped this year just colored the cars with them didn’t add even a gram to the body plus actually looked great.

Our pack has that track 3M sells a pack of tape with red blue green yellow and white for like $7/8 needed 4 packs for whole track. The tape is only 3/4 inch but it’s enough for the job.

Is rake something that the pros have always paid attention to? I have a SB Pro and it drills both front and back 1/8 high. The front ride height is 9/16 and the rear is 1/2. I’m sure aero wise this is less than ideal. Are you guys all playing with the amount of bend in the steering axle?

Like the last post said most guys on here have thin planks for cars and when they say 2oz behind that pretty much means the entire space behind is weight that is recessed up underneath the car then the rest of the weight usually an additional 2oz is recessed in front of the rear axle usually...

Thinking of buying a palm router just for making pinewood derby cars what do you guys suggest. Is this the way you cut your weight pockets?

FWIW we had a scout use reflective stickers on the front of his car and it wouldn't break the beam put a piece of painters tape on the sticker and was good to go just so you are prepared maybe yours will be fine but....
