That looks like REN modeling plastic that we use where I work. We use it for master models for carbon and fiberglass tooling. I have machined a few models out of it before. It looks really nice when it's polished out. You'll have a nice looking car.

Yeah. We started doing this for fun at my job. We built a track and have a company wide race every now and then. A few of us have sort of become addicted. It's a great hobby! We have a stock class everyone and an unlimited class for those of us who have gone nuts with it.
