Our car won the pack race with a 2.895 on a 42 foot track. Are the times the same from track to track?

Do you wipe the Krytox off after you put it on? I tried a krytox oil method created by a user named Sporty from another pinewood derby board and it seemed to work well. Not sure if anyone is familiar with the method he discovered but I am curious if it is the same thing the league racers do.
