    Polishing Axles

    I'm using a PineCar Kit and I was wondering if the nails need polished. I wasn't sure because I know on some of the kits like BSA you have to polish the nails. Is polishing the nails necessary or will it just go faster?

    Hello, this is my first forum post. I am making a pinewood derby car and I'm almost finished. I got a PineCar kit and I was wondering whether if I should use the one piece axles or just use the nails? Can anyone tell me the advantages or disadvantages of both. Any knowledge is helpful.
