Hello all, I am going to finally jump into the action. Long time Derby dad customer and my boy has finally aged out. Nobody was ever close to us locally so now I want to see if I can compete at the next level. 4 years as a customer and I am just now finding this forum. It sure would have helped when we started. Your story is almost the same as mine with four grandsons.
In my case I was using J**Ks products.
Any way in 2011 someone pointed out this league (actually its predecessor P**R)
That year I helped 4 grandsons, all who placed first in various parts of the country.
I took the fastest of the four cars, and entered it in SS
There were 37 entrants that race in that class.
Our car placed 36th our of the 37. What an awakening.
I immediately drove to Utah and met John.
I thought I new everything there was to make a winning car. I found out I knew nothing.
The rest is history. My wife says I am obsessed.

That was a total blast! I still can't believe how well my car did. I am calling beginners luck on that race. Thank you John for your help the last several years. I sure have come a long way.
