Now that the results out, I thought I'd start a thread so we could see how each other did. I know nobody wants to toot their own horn, but we're curious.

So to remain modest I'll try to start. Open adult unproven car 26th. Open kids 7th and 21st. Open Scouts 4th Bear and 15 overall.

Congratulations NPWDRL we had a good show. I'd also like to once again thank everyone and I mean everyone for all there help. I know there were quite a few parents that came up to John and thanked him for his help.

clap
congratulations on the great showing. I guess I should have sent something in.

We had a great time at the derby and it was nice to finally meet John in person.
We won:
2nd place in Bears - Qualified Scout division
3rd place overall - Qualified Scout Division
6th place Open Kids Division
6th place Open Adults Division.

1. My sons "open scout" car finished 2nd in Tigers and 14th overall out of 78. (So he will get a trophy and he is very happy about that.)

2. My "open adult" car finished 30th out of 85 cars. (Better than I had thought I did).

3. My "modified pro" finished 13th out of 17. (I was fully prepared to come in dead last).

We had a great time building our cars and watching the event. We have a lot of improvement needed and a long way to go. We are humbled by the speed of all of your cars. My son wants to build a car to run with you guys so that will be our next build. We plan to send in 4 cars to the NPWDRL race in August.

The guy running the camera for the pro races did an awesome job. The live feed for the scout and open races left a lot to be desired but was fun to watch and listen regardless. Our first proxy event..... We are hooked.

With the help of the Godfather I took 4th in the pro mod finals. Thanks Daddio!

Thank you SPIRIT for showing me how to build fast cars (oil and graphite) and initiating me into the world of proxy PWD racing at the highest level. Thanks to your expert help and John's (DD4H) products my sons did very well at the MAC 2013 races:

1) Younger son (3rd grade): 2nd in Bears (open scout) and 3rd in open scouts overall /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif - his oil car's fastest time of 2.9266 just blew me away, avg. time was 2.9366.
This was our first time with oil (and Spirit's process), our previous fastest time on a graphite scout car was 3.003. So achieving sub 3, sub 2.97 and sub 2.95 was a bit too much in one race, all thanks to SPIRIT.... I am truly grateful for him taking me under his wing!

2) Older son (7th grade): 10th overall in open kids division /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif (graphite car) avg. 2.9843.

The boys are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their trophies by mail.

We enjoyed building and racing by proxy, Greg Dawes team ran a great event! The online viewing camera work at the MAC race has a lot to learn and catch up to John's standards.

Encouraged by the performance of these cars I am now considering making and sending cars in for the NPWDRL Nationals race. Thanks to all the builders for sharing their advice and tips, we've learned a lot from this forum over the last 2 years.

Big Congrats to 5Kids. They defended the track like it was the home field! I believe Spirit, Radioactive and McCayDesings also had great showings in the Open Scouts!

We sent my son's car to mid-america for the first time this year, we competed in the open kids div. and finished 14th overall. We were very happy with that and we went sub 3 every race but one. I'm hoping to get a car done for June race and try to keep up with everyone. Big thanks to all.
