OK, here are your body choices for the Street Rod class. The Truck kit's proved to be to time consuming and difficult to mount. So you have three muscle cars to choose from. You don't have to buy from here on the link, all 3 cars are under $17. The cars must be made by AMT, and the 1/25 scale. You have to run one of these three.

Here is you Ford offering,

Here's the Chevy,

Here's the Mopar,

I'm in......I'm going to stop by the local hobby store to see if they have any of these models in stock.

Just to clarify.....four on the floor? Or can we have one raised wheel.

Hobby Lobby is a good outlet for these cars. They always have models on sale ..If they are full price just google Hobby Lobby's 40% off printable coupon then go score!

John will have the rules up soon. Basic 4wheels touching, does not have to be flat. Wheels mounted in the body openings. 6 ounces, no extenders or body modification. No tape over body parts to try and improve aerodynamics. SS 2 gram wheels. I think that's the just of it.

I'm in with the Bow Tie, just picked mine up today. I've never built a Street Rod or 4 on the floor, are any rules going to be posted soon?

Looks are deceiving. All the cars should be within .20 of a inch. The wheel bases are also different on the cars which should make things interesting also.

That Mopar looks kinda long. Wouldn't the cars need to be the same length to make it fair? I would think they would need extenders.

This about covers it. There shall be NO CUTTING AWAY OF THE PLASTIC BODY! No tape on the outside at all except the bottom. Windshields must be put in. Headlights, grills and taillights will all have to be in. The point is to make the car look great and race it. We will all be in the same boat so lets make it fun! Oh yeah, the axle and wheel rules will be Street Stock. We will check the 4 wheel touching rolling down the tune board.

How about the side windows. Do they need to remain open? Or can makeshift side windows be used?

One more question for the Shelby... Can we plug the intake vents on the hood, rear quarter, and rear roof post?

If the kit does not come with something to cover them then no. Only kit parts can be used and the addition of side glass.

I picked up the Shelby the other day. I went to the Hobby Lobby, and with the online 40% off coupon I was out of the door spending $12.13. They had all three options there. I am excited and pretty intimidated at the same time. This will be my first street rod build as well as four on the floor. I can't wait to see what y'all come up with.

John has been making a "4 on the Floor" predrilled block for some time. I am assuming that each of the models have a slightly different wheel base.
However the block John has been making is drilled so the STEER has already been drilled into the block.

Question: JOhn, will you be providing such a pre-drilled block for each of the Street Rod options?

I'm thinking that such a block with a very slight bend on one (or both) of the front wheel axels might do the trick.

Got my Camaro in the mail today! Super excited. The only thing I'm not to happy about is the it is molded in orange. More weight in paint to get the color changed to what it want. I'm going to Arizona for a week after Christmas so time is going to be of the essence.

Pink must be a hard color to spray over orange
