2018 Awana Grand Prix builds underway

Will do. Hour and a half till Check in. I’m actually nervous lol. First time using oil. And one other parent, a mom with a young Cubby, already was heard trying to change the race date so she could go to Awana Nationals. She is already anticipating winning.
She kills us the first year. Then I found PDO and returned the favor last year. Today I am bringing tuned and oiled beasties. Curious to see what she brings. It’s game on.
Kids and me are going early because I am helping with Check in and looking for cars that don’t roll well and trying to lube them up and make sure all the kids make it down the track.

ITS RACE DAY!!!!!

I like your attitude! Way to think of the kids!!!

Like you, we are attempting our first oil cars. It is a change and a learning process. Different, difficult, but fun none the less.

Again good luck!

I am happy to report that all 3 of us brought home gold. The smile on my sons face when he won the all class Awana Cup final was soooo worth the late nights building and tuning. We each won our respective classes, I sat out the final and the only loss was my daughter loosing to her little brother. The cars were all within a couple hundredths of each other.
I will post full report with pics, possibly vids hopefully tomorrow. Its been a busy day but an awesome one.

Only a loss to one of your own builds... Quite impressive! Congratulations team JNB Racing:) . So it’s sounds like you’re considering taking racing to the next level? Maybe Npwdrl, no pressure? :)??

Thanks Rebel. Well truth be told I have always wanted to take a shot. Due to tons of help from Reece Racing I am actually going for it over at APR in a couple weeks. I’m in MI so their OH Track isn’t too far. Depending on shipping expenses might try both leagues. We’ll see.

Well if I remember correctly he owed her one from last year. Awesome job guys!!!
Good memory SS! And thanks!
They told me our 3 cars were the fastest. Mine being on top and our 3 cars just being a couple hundredths apart. So I backed out and yes, now it was my sons turn to take it all. So they each have one cup. Who knows, maybe Dad will chose to take part in the all class final next year and try for my own cup. Lol
Hope to post pics tonight in a new thread. Maybe vids too.
