After roughly 2 years my Campbell hausfeld 3 gallon air compressor has been replaced. The regulator went bad, fittings where leaky causing it to work harder than normal and over heat. It was always pretty loud and now it's almost unbearable. I got the $49 3 gal pankake compressor from harbor freight for Christmas as a back up, knowing the Campbell was about to take a crap. I finally busted it out and I'm impressed with it in that it's much quieter, smoother and more efficient. We'll see how long that lasts, but for now I'm calling it a great deal.

yeahhhhhh... I just got a Campbell Hausfield 3 gal for the basement.

I think I need to get a housing for it that insulates the noise from the rest of the area...

While it is VERY handy, the wife is NOT liking the noise that comes from the thing.

The housing would be very beneficial to my pinewood hobby. LOL

It still works , it just needs a new regulator, fittings and it sounds like Gilbert Gottfried with a mouth full of marbles. John needs a insulated and vented box for his compressor as I'm sure he hears it in his sleep.
