49ft verses 42ft

I saw people at a district race running 3.55s on 49ft best track. Manual gates. Does anybody know what time that would be roughly be on a 42ft . That will give me an idea how well I will do at district. Yes I know all tracks are different.

That is a difficult question to answer due to all the different variables that need to be considered, but in my Xperience in comparing the same car on different tracks it was really close to about a 1/10 of a second per foot of track...so if they were running 3.55's then I would say they would run close to 3.1XX's. But this is only in my Xperiences...I am sure there are Xperiences and mathematical processes

Last year our Pack race was on a 49 foot track and our car ran in the 3.5_ range. At District it was a 42 foot track and that same car ran a 3.14 average. I packed that car up and sent it in to John to race last year on his track and it ran a 3.05 average. Because of the difference from track to track I don't think you can use a mathamatical forumla. I hope the times above help.

3.5's is pretty fast if I remember right. I would bet the NPWDRL cars might dip into the 3.4's.

Our pack has a 49' 6 lane BestTrack, but we have always used 42' for fear of scouts being disappointed if their cars don't make it to the finish line. I have always wanted to run the entire 49'. I am sure they all have had enough help to make it 49' so maybe I will this year.

Thx . I thought it was a professionals car because it was so far in front of everyone. Must of had track to test on
