Am I a Bad Bad Man?

So had a buddy call me on Tuesday evening saying " hey we have our derby on Thursday night can you help us?"

Of course Chips springs into action reading the rules. Graphite only. No worries the old guys in this game know how to build a fast graphite car.

I ask do you want a car that competes or makes other cry? The response is well we would like to win and we do have a guy who has had 3 boys before who win it every year.

GAME ON time to make someone cry.

The car performed as expected setting a track record. Making another boy and father cry, and then winning the Outlaw class by 2.5 car lengths.

Too bad I can't run like this in our league..... However making the reigning champions cry and whine is always one of my favorite things to do.

I know what you mean. My son, as a Tiger, beat out the 1st year Webelos that had won the Pack Derby every year he had participated. He cried and the father protested the race. My son handled it very well offering to run again for the 1st & 2nd place trophies but they didn't want to go that route. I enjoyed every minute of it and still like to watch the video to see the shocked look on both boy's faces when the trophies were handed out.

I don't think it makes us a "Bad, Bad Man" to get a thrill out of watching something we helped to create totally dominate the competition. I get joy out of our family (5 cars this year) take the top 5 spots in the open class at the pack and district level.

I'm about to do the same thing. I'm building a awana car for my brother to bring down the 7 year champion in his area. Trust me the dad is going to

like a baby.

BAD BAD MAN!!! LOL I don't see it that way. Did you let the kid do 85% or more of the work. Showing the dad and kid all the tricks, I don't see this as bad. Its when the dad does all the work, that it gets ridiculous.
I got a family from my baseball team who is in another pack, I asked how they did in there PWD last year, the standard reply I always get,"we don't take it that serious, the dads are to competitive" What it really was is there is a city alderman dad who had won the past 3 years. I told them to come see me, that guy doesn't have a clue what it means to be competitive. I can't wait till Jan.

I don't know you well enough to say your a bad bad.... But Bad as in Bad A$$!! YUP you fit the bill!! Your too cool for helping them out and you know the won that lost is the won dad built the car 100%

So the graphite car ... Are ya saying it is time to jump to graphite since they are running fast??
