I painted my official pinewood derby wheels (tires only) white? To make it look like white wall tires on my red hot rod. Is this ok? On race (district) day would I be told different?
Am I allowed to paint my wheels?

No problem. Kids do it all the time. I can think of no benefit to it (besides making it look good) that could result in anyone accusing you of cheating.

Just don't do what my neighbor did! He let his boys paint the entire face of the wheel and nail head. When the paint dried, the cars wouldn't roll!
