Ian Tomlinson, (Goat Boy) ...... Tommy Owens ( Owens Racing) ..... BSB are machinists and that is our occupation.

The guys on the second list know how to turn wheels. I am not saying this to start a war, I am just stating there are three guys that make their living as machinists that I know of on the forum. There is much more to being a machinist than turning wheels.

Good analogy. That was all I was saying nothing more. You could also add Fred Wheeler to that list of machinists. (he is not a member on this forum, but a very good builder/racer) Although his profession was a tool designer, he can machine rings around a lot of so called machinists and design the part he wants to machine as well. BnB racing ran a fabrication shop, but was also an excellent machinist. When he retired he started his own RC boat propeller business and his props hold some current speed records. The Propworks ....check it out if you want to see some fast boats!
