Any way to "save" dried out tungsten putty?

I've got a ball of tungsten putty that dried out. In the past, I've been able fix slightly dried putty by working it for a few minutes, but this one seems to be dried out beyond that - it just crumbles into small bits.

Is there any way to save this tungsten putty or is it a lost cause?

I read some where that if you put the Tungsten putty in a baggie and place it into warm water for a while it will soften up. I have never tried it, but it might work for you.

Follow up on this: I heated the putty under a lamp and it became nice and pliable again ... for a few minutes. When it cooled it went right back to being dry and crumbly. I think its beyond repair. Thanks for the ideas guys!
