AS "MY WIFE" IS MY WITNESS I DIDN'T TOUCH THE CAR.

We'll like you all my PWD is coming up this weekend and I have been chomping at the bit to see what happens this year. Why you ask?

As "MY WIFE" is my witness I didn't even touch the stinkin car. I swear it. Yep you heard right. He did all the work at the PWD workshop with my wife "The Den Leader" supervision. So if the stupid car wins again this year, its not my fault. However the anticipation is killing me for Sat. to get here.

I didn't even help with my daughter's car this year. So the big question is what did they produce this year? Well here you go. And DEW36 and Mr CHIPS, I don't want to hear any quibs about my daughter's color choices, she took great "PRIDE" in this car. I'm never going to live this down.

I almost forgot all about it, but seriously you have some sweet looking cars!!! Good Luck!!!!

Those cars are awesome!!!

Now that is a noble act.

I Think that I am far too selfish to do that myself.

Those babies bring me back to my youth.

Best of luck to the kids with their creations.

I have a hard time believing that you did not help out with the color choices though. LOL

Thanks guys! I'm looking on the bright side of this, no pun din intend. With my instruction it would of been a guaranteed win, however without me helping my son or daughter this year, I got no idea how the cars are going to run. Which means come Saturday it will be just as exciting as racing you guys hoping against hope that I win a heat or two or more. So I am on my seat chopping at the bit for this weekend.

Because you all know if the boy doesn't win, next year will be a slaughter

I think your daughter has an intuitive grasp for aerodynamics.

Check out the way she almost made an airfoil outta the car!

Although, I would imagine that the shape is due to more critical design criteria, like mimicking the shape of a rainbow.

Brilliant!

if they had fun building them then that in itself is a big win! But im sure they will do well at the race too!

Im still waiting for my daughter to decide how to paint her outlaw car...she wanted to build one this year...

Yep, SMILES all through the workshop.

Very cool that you were able to let go like that. /images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif

I would ask them (in a nudge them along kinda way) about how lubed they are. So often I see cars that the kids have done not make it down the track for lack of lubrication.

The cars are wonderful!

Thanks Crash, funny you should ask about the lube. Since the workshop was at my house, all the scouts had to do the alcohol/graphite trick to keep the mess down in my basement, so I know they got a whole lot of lube in the hub. I actually had my son spin the wheels for me a couple days later and they spinned over 45 seconds. I'm pretty confident they will make it down the track, besides that I got have no idea how fast it will be. LOL, it just funny my kids are like whatever and I'm like biting my nails hoping for the best. So SAD

And I quote "WORST DAY OF MY LIFE" this is what my son said right after the races where over. Ya I know he'll get over it, he needs to learn you can't win everything. He blamed himself for a stupid design and laid a guilt trip on his mother that dad wouldn't help him, but helped everybody else. So what is the life lesson here?
Don't listen to MOM when it comes to PWD!! LOL!!!!

God help them next year it won't even be close.
OH YA! so were did this fabulous car place, well out of 8 cars he came in 7th.

. However the upside is this, 1) my son has realized that halfa***** something won't make you a winner, 2) assuming you'll win is a bad assumption, 3)DAD is right in all things PWD related.

Well, I'm sorry to hear about the placing, I AM VERY GLAD TO HEAR YOUR SON LEARNED A VERY VALUBALE LIFE LESSON!
