Axel cant on 4-wheelers

If four wheels touching is required what thoughts are out there in regards to axel cant or wheel base. I assume the track will not be a best track but will be an wood style track.

We just had to do this last week on our car. What we did is, we set up everything for a fast three wheel car and then on the NDFW we bent that axle just about a half a degree and was able to make the wheel just barely touch on a perfectly flat surface with the hopes of a not so perfect track and it worked like a charm. It had no affect on the cars steer and we won big time. Oh and we graphited the part of the NDRW that touched the track in hopes of sliding instead of rolling. Best of luck to ya!

Hi Chief, Did you drill your front holes the same height or did you drill the NDRW raised like a three wheel car?

It was raised as we had initially made it a three wheel car as the rules allowed that...THEN the rules changed two months later and we did not know it until the day of the race, so I was in a scramble...but it worked out ok I guess...I cannot believe we took first place after all that it was a great big huge smile on the boys face!!!

Cool sounds good. Although I have not determined which style of track is at play. Are all track guides center...I thought the wood ones had outside guide rails not inside rails. If a rail car is built I have to know which is used correct?

Ya know I have not seen a wood track that wasnt a center guide but that does not mean there isnt such an animal. But you are correct in that what everyone calls a "Rail Runner" is for a center guided track. I have no Xperience with the outside guided tracks. Email the person in charge of the event and ask them about the track.
