Hi guys, new to the forum and pinewood derby world. Son just had a tune up for district and he got first place. His pack track is wood and these tracks were aluminum. His fastest time was 2.999 I am guessing on a 42' track. Not real bead for a beginner. As usual I want faster. I am going to buy the block to cant the wheels. The wheels were canted in this car on a block given to me. My question guys is using the block, how do you know how high up to put your holes to give you the ground clearance you need. Thanks for any input you have. I came from the OTHER forum and this is the one for me. I am super competitive.

I watched the race today from the other forum.

Cool designs and unusual classes!

I have heard DD say that .125" from the bottom is a good spot.

Welcome!
