Axle polish question

Hey guys. I just bought the Next Level Axle Polish thinking that it was a final step polishing compound. Then I found this description among the Zero Friction Axle Polishing Kit instructions:


FOR THE ULTIMATE PREP add the Next Level Polish and use it instead of water on each grit for the wet portion.


So, here is my question. Will Next Level work as a polishing compound, or is it only a lubricant for wet sanding ( as I now believe it to be ) ?

Thanks for the clarification. That had been my plan until I found conflicting info.
