BASX Body Width 1-3/4" inches???

I'm starting to study the rules to figure out a BASX or Street Stock build and noticed the BASX rules state, "Total Car BODY Width : Not to exceed 1-3/4" inches..." This looks like a typo. How would that be possible with a 1-5/8" rail width?

1-3/4" == 1-6/8". The body is wider than the rails, and the wheels stick out another 1/8" total (1/16" each).

1 5/8" rail is smaller than 1 3/4" body. Am I misinterpreting your question?

Ya, let me put it this way...Except for Snail Wars and Street Rod al other classes must have a, "Total Car BODY Width : Not to exceed 2-3/4" Is this because fenders aren't allowed in BASX and they are part of the body?

Basically it is a no-fender class. The width rules are set so no aerodynamic features can be added to the sides of the body in front or behind the wheels. The one loophole being the area where the wheels are installed. Wheel weights that are attached to the sides of the body and sit inside the void inside the wheels is allowed.
