I came across a post from derby freak that was cool. It had to do with cleaning off tread after each run down the track, maybe it was every few runs. I wanted to ask what others are doing? Is there a census on cleaning wheel tread? I ask because our race is next week and I have the flexibility to do so while racing if it would be worth it.

Depends on the track. I think after every run is a little much, a few runs is probably the better bet. Consider the pressure your putting on your wheel prep.
I just wipe the wheels with my finger to make sure there's nothing on them. No solvents or abrasives or anything.
