Just wanted to stop in and say thanks to everyone that help me out this year. My son took first in his Den and first overall again this year. Really couldnt have done it without the help from all the Pro's out there. Special thanks to John, Gravity X, Kinser, 5Kids and all the others who have help me with my n00b mistakes and rookie questions. To be quite honest the race wasnt even close. He averaged a 2.2 sec time on a 35' Best Track with the Best Overall record speed of 217.3 mph on the track (fastest the track owner has ever seen). The car performed great with john's products and the help I had along the way building it with my son. He has since asked me about a national race and I've told him about the NPWDRL, so look for us in there soon under the amateur.

On a side note, any suggestions on re-prep? We use 3 wheel rail runner and dry lube only. I wasnt able to polish the insides with a Q-tip as the DVD suggested because the Q-Tips I bought from Wal-Greens and the ones in the kit didnt fit. Other than that I polished the axles and used the Pledge as suggested. Just wondering about re-prep before districts. From his fastest time to slowest was from 217-215 mph, so the consistency was there as well.

I can't thank you guys and this site enough for all the help in making my son a very proud and gracious winning and the envy of all the other scouts for a second year in a row.
