Well I knew it was bound to happen....sure as shooting, Billy the not so dumb Red Neck discovered I'd posted a thread without his permission. I posted a thread under General Pinewood Derby Discussion "Billy's Red Neck Most Misunderestimated Mistake Ever" and to say he was a tab peeved would be an understatement. He was embarrassed that everyone had found he'd misunderestimated his better half's understanding of what to order. As Billy had never used Krytox and Momma had never heard the word, she thought he meant Botox. You can imagine the less that stellar results when Billy applied Botox to his wheels/axles. At the Billy Badowski household a simple Uh-huh or Unk-a is a perfectly acceptable answer. Needless to say they don't throw many "big words" around. To avoid confusion he sat down and splained to Momma the differencce between the 2 products. Breaking it down in terms that even the adult participants on "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader" could understand.

Krytox: A
registered trademark of The Chemorus Company. It refers to a group of colourless synthetic lubricants (oils and greases) with a variety of applications. Invented by researchers at Dupont, Krytox oils are fluacrabon ether polymers of polyhexafluoroproplene oxide, with a chemical formula: F−(CF(CF3)−CF2−O)n−CF2CF3, where the degree of polymerization, n, generally lies within the range of 10 to 60. These compounds are collectively known by many names including perfluoropolyether (PFPE), perfluoroalkylether (PFAE) and perfluoropolyalkylether (PFPAE). A unique identifier is their Car registry # 60164-51-4.

BOTOX: Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxic protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum and related species. It prevents the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine
from axon endings at the neuromuscular junction and thus causes flaccid paralysis. Infection with the bacterium causes the disease botulism. The toxin is also used commercially for medical and cosmetic purposes.

So there it is, if anyone ever confuses the 2 products it won't be the fault of Billy Badowski, the not so dumb Red Neck. As always, thank you for your continued support and don't forget to tip your waitress...RRR
