Is there a new videos for the black ice system? The video that is on the DD4H website seems to only have 3 steps where the new system has 4 steps.

I recently had the same question. Thanks to Watchitgo for the following instructions:

Just in case you do not have them. The new process is discouraging the use of Q-tip stalks which are used in step #2.

Black Ice V1 instructions
DerbyDad4Hire BLACK ICE Wheel Bore Polish Kit Instructions
  1. Step 1: Cut the fuzzy ends of the Q-tip off at an angle and insert the polishing stalk into your hand drill. Coat the stalk with Polish #1 and push a dab into each wheel bore. Spinning at a very low speed move the wheel up and down the stalk about 20 revolutions. It will be a tight fit so take it slow and easy making sure not to remove chunks of the wheel bore. Blow excess polish out with compressed air and clean the Step #1 out of the wheel thoroughly with 91% alcohol and a fluffy pipe cleaner. MAKE SURE YOU CUT THE PIPE CLEANER WITH A SHARP SCISSORS! Check to make sure there are no sharp points. Check the bore under magnification. The bore should look nearly race ready. If it still needs work repeat this step.
  2. Step 2: Cut the fuzzy ends of the Q-tip off at an angle and insert the polishing stalk into your hand drill. Coat the stalk with Polish #2 and push a dab into each wheel bore. Once again spinning at a very low speed move the wheel up and down the stalk about 20 revolutions. It will be a tight fit so take it slow and easy. Blow excess polish out with compressed air and clean thoroughly in 91% alcohol and pipe cleaner again removing all traces of polish.
  3. Step 3: Insert wheel into warm water and Dawn dishwashing liquid and clean again thoroughly with a new pipe cleaner. Blow out with compressed air to dry.
  4. Step 4: Using Polish #3, coat the wheel bores and contact surfaces of the wheel using a pipe cleaner. Let dry for 10 minutes. Blow out excess with compressed air and let dry for 10 more minutes. Buff out the polish well using extra fluffy pipe cleaners and wipe off the wheel.
  5. Step 5: Repeat Step 4! Let wheels sit for 2 hours or longer.
  6. Step 6: Using a mild car wash clean the wheel bore gently using a pipe cleaner and dry thoroughly.
  7. Step 7: Drop a few drops of Polish #4 into the wheel bore and spin it in using a pipe cleaner. Let dry for 2 minutes and buff out with a clean pipe cleaner. For best results let the wheel cure for 24 hours.
You can also use the WB polishes to polish the inner edge, outer hub and inner hub contact surfaces for ultimate performance. Wipe the wheel down thoroughly with preferably a Selvyt cloth.
Blow the wheel off good with compressed air and you are ready to go.

I just ordered the black ice system from DD4H this week and it has a 4 step system

Included in the system is...black ice Polish #1, black ice Polish #2, black ice Polish #3, and black ice Polish #4. It also comes with 10 pipe cleaners and 2 swabs. So my question is for Polish #3 and #4. Polish #3 is a grayish pink color and Polish #4 is bright pink.

If polishes #1 and #2 are green, then it sounds like the same as I have. #1 is a thick paste. #2 is thinner and in a bottle like #4.

I got separate recommendation that you can thin #1 with 91% isopropyl alcohol to make it easier to work with.

I didn't try it myself.

I just got some a couple weeks ago or so and it only had 3 steps in it. The #1 was thick and pink color. # 2 was in a squeeze bottle and grey color #3 was a thinner. bright pink wax and also in a screw top container. I thought I had heard that a step had been dropped and it went for 4 steps to 3. There is only 3 steps in the video I believe.

Yes in the video there is only 3 steps

I received mine last week, with 4. I sent John an email, where he says to follow the video for steps 1 through 3. Then, wait as long as possible. Then, add step 4 and buff step 4 out immediately.

Thanks for the info, must have have changed again since I got It.
