Well money is tight, I have looked over things and I have decided that I cannot just spend the money this year like I had wanted. I am going to reuse last years wheels on the boys cars and prep a set for me out of unused wheels from last year. All the wheels are BSA wheels out of the box. I think the only extras I will spend money on will be the Dynasty 92 axles, three sets and I will use a stock axle for the raised non DFW so that I can build four cars with the 92's. With this change plus the pledge on the axles that I learned about today and the use of the tuning board while being a very throw together design with an old mirror will give me the tuning time so that I can get the drift where it needs to be. I am unsure what that needs to be on a four foot board yet, we run on a 42 foot freedom track at the pack but will run on a 42 foot best track for district. I am planning on reusing the weights from last year also and I have fenders that I am custom building using some I got from someone on the east coast as my guide. I am hoping all this together will show some significant improvements over last year, I hope to pick up close to .08-.1 as a whole on each car which should keep us where we need to be. Maybe next year we will buy new weight and the good wheels and switch to oil and just reuse the 92's I get this year. If anyone has any ideas please pass along as money is tight but we still want to have fun.

my .02 cents, your speed you desire will be determined by your alignment. Negative cant on both rear drilled holes and positive cant on front DFW with a bend axle. Prep the bores well and polish the axles to a mirror shine. Good luck, let us know how it turns out for you and your son. BTW, what's the trick with Pledge? A new replacement for Jigaloo?

Something that has puzzeled me is how much bend on the DFW, a larger amount will require less toe in I think but will also have less surface contact and ride on the outer edge which is what I understand many do, and also gives some sort of odd sound. Now if I o less bend it will require more toe to achieve the same drift but has more surface contact, am i thinking correctly? ow much bend do you guys do? I have the bending tool and will also be using canted rear wheels, I have the silver bullet and such.

Hey just a thought but why not use the out of the box axle as the lifted (not used) axle instead and bend one of the 92's for each car. I would say that will definitely give you more speed than using a stock axle .
