I had a question about the classes. As this is my first race I'm entering in the Novice class. If I were to get the SS Sub 2.98 badge because my car (unlikely) runs sub 2.98 the rules state I must race pro. So does that mean for the April race I have to enter my car in the Pro or do you not get the badge until the end of the season?

No.. John stated before this series started. Once you start at Novice you we compete there till nationals , then depending on your times you will be moved to Amateur or Pro. I think there will be several cars in Novice and. Amateur break the speed cut.. For reason
DD-4 hire AKA JOHN can't control.. Good luck to all racers and may ur wheel roll fast and smooth !!

ya I understand not being able to control that, but having the Novice class for racers like me who have no idea what they're going to run because it's only my 4th car ever made and first oil car is nice to have. I just hope it's not embarrassing. If it is, well then I'm going to have to learn a lot more because I'll have no clue how to make it faster

No need to feel embarrassed. This is only my third race ever and I am glad there is a novice class to learn in. While my car is fairly fast in the Novice Class I will have to learn a lot more if I move up to the next class to be competitive. There are a ton of good tips on this board and fast racers who are more than willing to help you get your car go faster. Good luck in your first race!
