car body

Started a new car tonight and I'm just under 12g or 0.42 oz. Have some more sanding to do. Hoping it takes another 0.1 oz off

You can gain some speed from the light body because you can pack more weight in the car which interns means more horsepower. But, there are allot more factors involved.

Yes, I usually get more.

Are you talking for street stock Kinser? with wheels weighing 2g each plus axles how is this possible? I know you don't paint which helps but man, I need to see your car body and pockets.

An ounce is 28.3495 grams. Four wheels and axles are about 12 grams (less now), plus a 9-10 gram body and 2+ grams for fenders. That's right around 24 grams. I don't do any ladder or X style body's either.

Yes those are car body weights without fenders. I know it sounds crazy, but it's easy to do. I thought our first scout car was thin, then the year after... I had a lot to learn and the guy that posted before you helped me a lot along the way. Just have a thick skin with him as he can be a little rough at first. And Never, EVER use a tredmil to tune your car!

Ya! My apologies Mike. I'm not too rough anymore.

Lol treadmill or bent rear axles are a bad idea just wondered my 2 new bodies are 11.3 grams or .39 in ounces without fenders
