Car is ready 10 days before race. Ok to leave untouched until race day?

We reprepped our wheels and axles and got the fastest time on our test track. The council race is 10 days from now. I put the car in a plastic food container with a lid on top so no dust or anything will get to it. Are we ok to leave it there until the race? I know I will be tempted to run it on the test track the day before to make sure it's ok.

I was taught a long time ago that when you have a car that runs a good time on your test track to do two things.
1. Put it in the box

2. Don’t look at it funny

my suggestion would be that if it is running a time that you think is really good to not mess with it. Are you running oil or graphite? If you’re running oil, you’re going to want to put your car in a ziploc bag and get all the air out if it.

Running graphite. The day before the race, I will probably puff some graphite on the axles, clean the wheel treads, and then run it on the test track to make sure it's still fast. I don't think my OCD will let me leave it alone.

I understand, I’ve been the same way several times. Just remember, graphite will only run for so long. It will get faster with the first 3-4 passes, and then run at its peak for 6-8, but then it will slow down. So don’t run the heck out of it.
