Cars are back

No cars were dropped during the race. There's always the possibility of shipping damage, it's unavoidable. I'm sorry to here about car trouble.

John, Skippy and Chris, thank you for letting me know that the car was not dropped during the race. I'm sure Skippy would have noticed the wrinkled vinyl had it been that way when it was boxed after the race. I understand that USPS is rough on packages and also understand the risks of racing proxy. I did strip the car down and repaired the fenders. I did not take any pictures of the damage. Hopefully, it will be competitive next race. If not, I have another SS ready to go, just need wheels.

If your cars come back in the condition mine did, just pitch them in the wood pile and build another.
Looks like the car was dropped.
???

My Cyanide Blue car came back in pretty rough shape. The Right front fender had a flat spot on it about the size of the end of my finger. That impact was forceful enough to wrinkle the vinyl on top of the car. The DFW was also scratched up. It must have also hit the RR wheel. It had a light rubbing of the wheel on the fender where there had been 20 thousandths gap. I did a slow roll test and the RR no longer migrates out. I'm hoping it is a tweaked axel and not the drill knocked out of alignment.

I understand that this is always a danger when racing proxy. The part that bummed me out was that this car was .003 faster than any SS I had ever sent in to NPWDRL. To see it struggle to stay on the front page was surprising and very disappointing

I'll do everything I can to save this car but am not very optimistic.

Brian, sorry to hear that. I was shocked ditch pickle wasn't racing but assumed it was for a good reason. I hope you can get it fixed. Some of my cars looked a little rough as well, so I'm on to generation 2.

Rough from what? Do the packages look damaged? We have rarely had any problems with cars during a race or unpacking and repacking. USPS on the other hand has been known to rough stuff up a bit. It be great if you were all a little more specific. Thanks!

If there was ever a problem John has always made it right, above and beyond so. He's even replaced broken wheels on several occasions when they arrive roughed up.

Mine was defiantly not from you guys. I was dealing with a clueless employee at my shipping place and could only ship back to there location instead of mine. My wife picked up the box from them and she said the box looked beat up, plus they couldn't find it until she found it at the bottom of a pile of boxes. On one of my cars on the bottom of the box the tip nose of a car was broke. Another box was dented but no visible damage to car. Obviously last time I use them. No worries from my front as I'm building all new cars but using most the same names. I've even got a nice new body for my daughter to run. She should make a jump over her 2.970 from her first Basx run.

Thank you! That helps clarify some concerns.
