Im setting up anodized Freedom track after one tear in storage in church basement. It was protected but not closed up in a case. What should I clean it with after setup? It is only one year old. I was very impressed with how well I was able to align the sections last year with no mods to the track. The best track at district race was way bumpier. I want to get another section as it is only a 32' track.

Bulldog, Would you clean your Besttrack this way? I noticed in your videos that you have a two lane besttrack. I have been using Simple Green to clean mine.

Dude, this is exactly what I needed today! I love you guys! Yes I violently clean my track! But only with pledge after Dr, Kinser taught me that simple Green will make Aluminum brittle over time. I've had my clock cleaned a few times, it sucks. I would rather be the cleaner.

Thanks Bulldog. I will be throwing out the simple green for good. I have been assisting my nephews with their cars the last couple of years and have really gotten bitten by this sport. I have gotten pretty good at building these cars. Last year after the hobby shop that had a track for testing closed, I bought my own 42' Besttrack with a Micro Wizard K3 timer. I found this forum by seeing one of Bullddogs videos on youtube. Now I have a tendency to be competitive and after reading about you guys and the NPWDRL, I now need to see how well I can compete with the pros of the sport. Tomorrow I hope to find time to build a proper tuning table and hopefully will be able to send in a car to the March race. I have never tried using the oil before but will be ordering more supplies from DD4H in the next few days. I do understand that I will experience the "getting my clock cleaned" for a while but at least I will have a good starting point to improve. I think it was Kyle Bush who said it best. "Its more fun when you come from behind."
Thanks for all the fantastic information on this forum.

I have a NON anodized Freedom track and it needs some cleaning/ polishing. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what to do? I'm thinking some metal polish and one of those Powerball things from Mothers.

There are some scuffs etc that need to be beautified, particularly on the center guides. I'm going to have to use some 2500 grit paper to fix them, I'll need to polish after that.
