The car with the checkered Ekono-Kote is actually last months SS Space Monkey reworked. I pulled out the white foam and glued in balsa so it was flush- hoping to reduce micro vibrations. The DFW hole I drilled at a compound angle didn't seem to help it any. What I did was drill the hole with 3 degrees of toe pointing to the rear. My thinking was that if my cant was at around 9 degrees, having the reversed toe would reduce the sensitivity of the steer when it came time for tuning. I don't think I will continue down this path. Thankfully, the floater axle hole was drilled straight so I am now using that side for my DFW. The botched axle hole now boasts a 45 degree fender with a teflon fin to keep er on track.
Not pictured but still part of the Nationals fleet are a couple Basx cars, a SP and an Eliminator.
