Please tell me this is a typo ...

The 93X Axle measures at .093 where the wheel rides on the axle to reduce the slop of the wheel and ensure a more stable Pinewood Derby car but reduces down to .090 where it enters the body.

Shouldn't that be .091 to be consistent with the 92 axles?

No, all future axles that are made will be going to .090. I am sick of reaming axle holes.

I always thought it was crazy that a machined part didn't just "fit" when we drilled with a pre-determined drill size. Especially when working with poplar, it just seems a waste of time to do all that reaming and working of the hole.

I purchased a 2.3mm(.090551 inch) drill bit to see if i could just use it without reaming... When i get home tonight i will try it and follow up.
