I asked some of my older venture scouts to help me with the cubs this year. It was a great night. Some of the ladies who wrote the rules were watching me help the boys and realized no matter what rules they try and throw at me I got the PWD voodo to fight back thanks to this place!
That is AWESOME--- MAybe one of your car names can be a tribute to the VooDoo Dolls that make up the rules... It is great seeing you able to help them get into the Sport and Spirit of PWD.. Just think one day one or two might being doing the same thing as you did for them... AWESOME!!!!
Looks like your workshop was a lot better organized then my first one. Did you meet with the venture scouts ahead of time to train them on the station they were manning?

I would hope, then, that they would see that it is better to make rules simple and enforceable, instead of needlessly restrictive to "level the playing field".
Yes, I'm the Venture crew leader, I hold a race every year for the older boys so they really build the whole thing and get into the competition. They are all well versed in the building process. I was appointed the committie chair for this years district race, these venture scouts will be helping me run the event.
