Just got the flyer for the district races here. There is the standard district race for the scouts. But the race for the Dads... Is 'Open'. The rules: Std length, width, height, clearance, and weight. And that's it.
I had hoped to run my "Mach Schnell", which is built to the local Cub Scout standards. But that car would be smoked by a three-wheeler on razors.
So, decision time. Run the car I have, or build an Eliminator as cheaply as possible? I would like to build an extended wheelbase, 3-wheeler, but truly don't have money to spend. Especially for what would likely be a one-time race (I'm requesting a "Stock" class for Dads next year -- I build a car for myself each year anyway).
So, anyone have some razor wheels they'd be willing to let go of cheap? Like, maybe some that use needle axles and it was just too much of a PIA and you've switched? /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
Man, and here I'd thought I wouldn't continue the obsession until the AWANA Grand Prix in April... /images/boards/smilies/rofl.gif
