So I was packing up my cars yesterday to send out and got to the last one, Jiffy Pop, SS Am winner last race. It was so slippery, and fast, it raced right out of my hands and hit the floor! Two fenders and the weights popped off of it. I put it back together and ran it down the tuning board, it was way off. I didn't have time to mess with it, so I set the steer back and put it in the box and shipped it out. Not sure how it will run, may be time for Hurricrane to break out of the bride's maid curse, or Eliminator, Ice, Opa to sit on top of the podium! Just more drama for Saturday...

Good luck and fast runs to all racing this weekend! Hope everyone improves on their personal best. I imagine there will be some new track records set again this time...should be fun to watch!

We are in the same boat Bullet. My second place car has a big scratch in a rear wheel bore. I didn't have a replacement wheel and almost didn't send it in. It is off by .004 which will make this a mid pack car at best. My only hope to break the curse will come from a brand new car, Rising Storm. So the battle for the top will be wide open. Good Luck to everyone.

Well, I was concerned on the dropped car, so packed up a prototype I was working on (and holding out for finals), and sent it in this afternoon. This car is called "Katana". Its not finished or tuned all the way, but it's been showing promise. I wanted to get a run on it with John's track anyway...will be fun to watch! If it does well, don't copy it...lol! /images/boards/smilies/tongue.gif

Sorry to hear about the car!! I know the work involved!!! But I have a feeling that prototype is probably a secret weapon.

I tore mine down thinking I know how to get more speed out of it and was in full blown panic mode till late last night. I finally redrilled the body and reprepped a new set of tires and gained what I had and maybe little bit more. And what ever you do, don't look at the body it looks pretty trashed!

Sorry to hear about that too, ping me next time I'd be more than happy to send you a wheel!

I am just hoping I put it back together the way it came apart...lol Still have a little hope it will run the same. Good luck to you guys, you never know, I didn't think my cars would be fast enough last race and they ended up better than I thought...just goes to show how much I don't know yet! Good luck to you guys! and hope it will be one of those fast surprises! ;

LOL! Thanks for the offer. Maybe this massive scratch will be the new speed secret!

Only if the scratch twists outward! lol

Thanks bud, Good luck to you, that Jiffy Pop was fast and I don't think Hurricrane is slowing down anytime soon!

Bullet, Sorry about the car, you guys don't have to worry about me, I'm still running the same old graphite Cheetahs we used for scouts. I had to hog out the bores twice with Q Tip to get the graphite out, but still learning about weight placement and steer, overall having a good time. Good luck to all the racers this weekend!

Well if your running like that with old wheels I'm in trouble!!!

Good luck Craig!

Thanks Ice, I think you summed it up in one word luck, I have had good luck in the changes I've made, we'll see if I pushed my luck to far Saturday.
