Morning everyone, my son and I are in the middle of building a car for a grudge match held after our local packs annual race. When setting up a car to run on three wheels should the non dominant wheel spin freely or be pinned to the car and used like a guide pin.

Thanks, I was going to polish the surface that will contact the rail. Should I try to rub graphite on it as well or leave it be.

The NDFW should not touch the rail unless you are building a "tight" car. I build mine to be tight to the rail, just like a lot of the pros do. In my case, I do polish the edge of the NDFW just in case it does graze the rail some, but I really do not expect it to happen much.

If the rules dont require 4 wheels on the car it would be faster to just drop that ndw all together. Not sure what is required or what ur workin with.
