Fast lane

Ok. I have one lane that is faster than the other two. One car will always take off faster in the lane next to the start lever. I have taken slomo videos and within the first couple inches, you can see that the car in that lane is clearly ahead. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Maybe it is because the solenoid that drops the starting pins is on that side of the track, which causes a slight deflection on that side due to the force of the solenoid, which ends up dropping that pin a little ahead of the others.

Maybe if the solenoid were in the center it would eliminate this issue?

Just the first thing that came to mind for me.

Are the starting pegs bent? Have you checked the slope on all of the lanes to make sure they're the same? What about the mounting of the starting gate, is it square with the track? I'm just brainstorming here.

Solenoid should not affect it because it pulls the lever not the hinged part that the pegs are on. The pegs are not bent and all 3 are tight up to the slot in the track. Digital level on all 3 lanes is reading 27.1 degrees.

Are you using a spring on each side of the gate? Maybe move the springs around to different locations on the gate. Or a spring might be stretched. Do you un hook them between sessions?
