Fast times on 40 foot track?

I have a question. Our group has a 42' best track. My sons car ran a 2.538 on that track. I was wondering if that is a reasonably fast time for that length track?

The pros, running razor wheels on bearings, turned in times of 2.83s on the 42' track. Your time would indicate to me that you have a 35' BestTrack. Times on a 35' are typically near 2.5s, times on a 42' are typically near 3s.

There are far too many variables to say what your 2.538s pass would translate to on the pro track.

Thanks for that. I appreciate that feedback. It gives me some idea as to where we would need to make improvements running on a pro track. Considering times are typically 2.5s On a 35' track I am glad that his seems to be on par. Will definitely look to try and improve on that for next years pinewood derby.
