Sounds like it is time to get busy in order to just get ON the list. Not knowing the times adds a whole new twist to the sport! I can see this leading to smack talking and calling out your neighbor on the list.
Man this could be the catalyst for some EXCITING racing action!

This race format seems like a step backwards. Make more cars to have a better chance at placing higher on the list? The randomness of the races could put you head to head with the fastest car and eliminate you early in the racing. How is that an accurate representation of your ranking? What am I missing? Cash payout seems nice and supports the "enter more cars to have a better chance" concept. I guess that means you should be higher in the rankings because you're able to build more cars than the next person? Also, some of these races will be too close to call. How many judges will help decide the winner? I've seen this type of scoring at cub scout races and it never ends well.

1. This is just setting the list. You will control where you are on the list once this race is done.
2. Is the most accurate way? Probably not but it will be more fun that just running cars down the track and averaging the times.
3. The timer will be doing the judging if that was a serious statement.

This format might not be for everyone. I realize heads up competition scares some people away. Have you been league racing?

Thanks for clarifying and I'm sure this isn't easy. I agree. This is an exciting format.

OK, so establishing the list won't be the most accurate representation of the power rankings. How often will the list races occur?

Yes, who is judging was a serious question because you stated, "1st one to win 3 races moves on. No times! No computer glitches! Straight up beat your opponent across the line racing. " I read "no computer glitches" meant no electronic timing.

I appreciate the work you've done to put this together.
