Fender Installation

Is there anything I can mess up when installing rear only fenders (short of having them touch the wheels /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif) that will cause the car to be slower than without fenders? Too much gap with wheels? Anything else? I have GEE fenders so they have the cutout that should ensure they don't hit the rail either.

Don't install them with your good wheels on the car, the glue fumes might cause a reaction.

I use a few wraps of tape around a wheel to set the gap on the GEE fenders.

Of course... you could always try the GX Fender Gap Tool, it will give you an even gap all the way around the wheel. The alternative mentioned works good too.
