So, in the hunt for possible Jig alternatives, there's two products I'm wondering if anybody's tried on their axles.

The first is Finish Line Dry Lube. I came across some of this in my dad's garage, and I though "huh". It's a wax-style Teflon-based lubricant. According to Amazon reviews, it's the same stuff as the old 3M "Blue Can" that no longer is available. It is interesting (to me) that it is available in a non-aerosol squeeze bottle

The next one is a competing product, White Lightning Clean Ride, which is also a wax-style dry lube, but contains Cerflon, which is like, Teflon enhanced with Ceramic(?).

Like Finish Line Dry, it also is available in a non-aerosol squeeze bottle.

Anyhow, just curious as to whether or not anybody had tried these on axles. So many products, so much potential research to be done...

I've tried it. Close but not quite. I posted it here somewhere....

If you ever do strike gold though, I do not think many will say that's the stuff, beyond what's already known.

EDIT: Found the link

Thanks for the info!

Not a huge fan of aerosols, so I might get some of this stuff to use with the kiddies. Seems much less noxious to just apply a few drops from a bottle than to have to hold an axle into the spray stream of a can.
