Well nationals and mid america were a success. My son brought home 2 trophies and may have finally gotten the love of the pinewood derby back (lost it thanks to some poor sports) I made my first attempts at pro division cars. After a slight mix up and some weights from jewkes I had 2 cars in basics and a mini Cooper. Still trying to find video of the mini Cooper running but looked a little slow. My 2 basics cars both broke 3 secs so as far as I was concerned that was progress in a good way. All my kids cars and my wife and mine ran better than last year's so it was a good day. Got to meet a few of the pro racers bulldog, mojo, jewkes, zeeb, and John mainly wish I could have met a few more of ya. Looking forward to sending in some cars next month for npwdrl

I couldn't find the video for the Mini Cooper prelims yet either, but if you look at the second video on this page:

http://livestream.com/accounts/17436705/events/5338828

and go to time 2:20:06 you can see the average time for your car. Looks like it averaged 3.0203?

Yeah I saw that but was kind of wanting to actually see it running what do you do. Probably a technical difficulty or something

I'm hoping it was saved in the camera so John can edit and post it later. I'd like to see my car in that footage also! The laptop crashed several times Saturday morning before Randy Lisano (The man behind Grand Prx Race Manager software who was live at the event) loaded a copy of his program on Bregal's personal laptop and we finished the race with that. So Bregal saved the day!

Crazy. Was it a hardware or a software issue with the original crashing?

Don't really know. There really was not time to diagnose it. Building is fun, racing proxy is even better, but there is nothing like being there live. I would much rather be racing than diagnosing a computer problem. I really don't think of it as too much of a big deal about the laptop, but rather, those who worked the race (John, Joel, Benji, Terry, Stephen, Brian, Paul, and John's brother - I know him as White Mountain) saved the day, as I could go over, get something to eat, make a phone call, etc. with no ramifications. Those guys were bustin' it out both days.

I enjoyed it so much, I'm still a bit giddy...
