Here is my first Street Pro build. I haven't finished my table so it hasn't been tuned yet. I'm really starting to like building these things.

Very nice looking car, you've got some skill.they are a blast to build. Keep up the good work . Hope to see it on the track soon.

Thanks guys! It should be at the Feb. race with a couple more. I dont know enough about the guide pins to try and make some or a supplier for them, any help will be appreciated.

i use a 3/32" aluminum rod from a AIRGAS store. with a small side cutters it is easy to clip them to length and bend it . just drill a small hole of the same size and put a small crimp or 2 with the cutters and you are good to go. not as nice as some, but gets the job done.

My first ones were bent over stock axles. The nice ones are just needle axles bent over with a little teflon bushing on it. I am sure John can get you one or a few you'll need three for the diff classes so you might want to just order a set of needle axles, then you'll have a back up when one brakes.

I like the needle axle idea, I was leaning toward using piano wire. Thanks for the help. How far should the pin be off the track, just enough to catch the center off the track if needed?

I use a finish nail. I cut the head off, chuck it up and round the cut, then polish it real shiny. Stick it in a vice and bend it to a 90 degree angle. You'll have to drill the hole a bit smaller than the nail diameter, it needs to be pretty tight.

I played around with some axles and came up with this, criticism wanted! I didnt know if the washer was needed but it seem to turn pretty good on the polished axle.

Thanks guys! Had a bunch of the Pinecar axles laying around and thought I would try it. Time to get back in the basement and feed my addiction.
